| Description | One issue of a recurring community newsletter — an update published on the wiki and sent to a mailing list. A subcategory of Category:Post, so it inherits the document fields (Has date, Has document type, Has author, Has description) plus Has card image and Has project, and so it is picked up automatically by queries over Category:Post such as Newsletter when authoring; each wiki needs a Newsletter term page in its Category:Document type vocabulary for that value to resolve. What distinguishes an issue from an ordinary post is that it reports on a window of time rather than a single event: Has period start and Has period end record that window, and both are required. Has issue number, Has subject line and Has preheader are optional — the first identifies the issue independently of its title, the latter two carry the email edition's subject and inbox preview text and are not rendered on the page. On an issue, Has description is the introductory paragraph: the masthead prints it under the coverage window, and the same text is the teaser on post cards. Renders via Template:Category/Newsletter, which shows the type, issue number, date, coverage window and introduction; the card image is used only on listing cards. Section structure inside an issue is ordinary wiki headings — there is no section wrapper template, so issues stay editable by anyone who can edit a wiki page.
