Template:Newsletter layout
Layout for issues of the Miniscope Newsletter (since 2026-09-24). Renders a whole issue from one template call: masthead, "In this issue" strip, then six fixed sections in a fixed order. Written with Form:Newsletter layout.

The masthead is the Main Page banner (Template:UI/hero) with the newsletter's name and issue line on it; the page title is hidden, as on the Main Page.
A page using this template is a newsletter issue: it is in
Category:Newsletter and stores its data through
Template:Newsletter/semantic (it does not call {{Newsletter}}, whose
masthead would replace this one). It is listed on News and the Main Page
only when status=Published; anything else, including empty, is a
draft and shows a draft banner.
Sections
A section appears when its heading is filled in and its "include" box isn't unticked. Numbers (01, 02, ...) count only the sections that appear.

Each section takes _include, _label (overrides the
eyebrow), _short (contents-strip label), _heading,
_text. Sections 1–3 also take _image, _alt,
_button (one wiki link), _side_title, _side
(a bulleted list). Community takes _image, _alt,
_captions, _more; Q&A _questions,
_more; Stay connected _survey, _office,
_office_next, _events, _more.
Issue fields: status (Draft or Published), date,
issue_number, issue_period, title,
tagline, hero_image (banner, default Miniscope Newsletter banner.webp),
hero_alt, card_image (4:3, for News cards),
teaser (News card text, default the tagline), author,
project, subject_line and preheader
(email only, not shown), signoff.
The footer always carries the request-an-account and talk-page notes.
Icons in the contents strip are File:Newsletter icon <key>.svg
and are skipped if the file doesn't exist.
