Hello Everyone, I have been contacted by multiple labs wanting to be part of another PCB group order. Ordering as a group decreases per board costs which is significant when ordering only a few PCBs. Expect the DAQ PCB to run about $200 a board and the CMOS Imaging Sensor PCB to run about $120 a board. The company making the PCBs in located in California but can ship internationally.

If you are interested please reply below and also add your information here.

We (Patrick Forcelli's lab at Georgetown) will be ordering PCBs this round. Will the excitation LED PCB also be ordered?

The excitation LED PCBs will likely not be part of the group order. I think your easiest option would be to contact Silver Circuits (sales@custompcb.com) and ask to order 'Order# 7500'. You shouldn't need to include any design/fabrication files. This order will give you 125 (minimum quantity) LED PCBs for a little over $200 total. While 125 PCBs is likely way more than you need, the total cost will be significantly less than most other PCB fabrication options.

Thanks so much! I second the recommendation of Silver Circuits, so easy to work with.

Hi! We(Bong-Kiun Kaang's lab in Seoul Nat'l University and Yong-Seok Lee's lab in Chungang University) are interested in this group order. I'm leaving a reply on the spreadsheet.

Hi, thanks for organizing the group order. I just want to evaluate the risks first—in terms of delay. For example, if a lab in the group order batch fails or gets delayed to deliver the CMOS sensors or the payments, does this delay the entire group order? I'm concerned about the turnaround time. Thanks!

Hi Dopamine,

This a is a great question. If a lab takes too long to submit their payment information then we would exclude them from the order and then move forward with PCB production. This may add at most a week delay to fabricating and assembling PCBs. Delays delivering CMOS sensors won't affect the production timeline since I am willing to ship sensors from our own stock if need be.

In general I would expect about a 2 to 3 week lead time once labs start submitting payment information.

I noticed on the spreadsheet that the sensor should be ordered and one person sent it to UCLA. Where should we send the sensor once we order them?

Could someone who has already ordered their CMOS imaging sensors share where they bought them? MT9V032C12STM are back ordered on Arrow Electronics but they do have MT9V032C12STM-DR (color). Would MT9V032C12STM-DR work? Aliexpress has a bunch but want to make sure that I order from a reputable source.

Hi Eyoung997,

You definitely want to monochromatic version of the CMOS imaging sensor. Most people have ordered through Aliexpress with no problems.

Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry to be a pain about this but I want to make sure that I am ordering the right sensor. Will the one below work? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/MT9V032C12STM-SENSOR-IMAGE-VGA-MONO-CMOS-48LCC-MT9V032C12STM-032-MT9V032-032C-V032-032C12STM/32330952314.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.34.5p6jYm&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_2,searchweb201602_4_505_506_503_504_10034_10020_502_10001_10002_10017_10010_10005_10006_10011_10003_10021_10004_10022_10009_10008_10018_10019,searchweb201603_9&btsid=ea01db32-2fd4-48ce-8231-a7595531ed1c
