We are planning to image barrel cortex layer 2 and want to double check that Tsai-Yi Lu used a 5mm Dia. x 20mm FL, MgF2 Coated, Achromatic Doublet Lens for her work on the visual cortex? Also what was the size of the field of view she got in the visual cortex?

Hi Erica, so far in my experience with cortex imaging, I've been using 15-mm achromatic lens only with 2-mm GRIN lens. The whole field of view is ~750 x 480 pixels and the area where I see neurons firing (presumably from layer II) is about 150x100 pixels large. Will let you know after I've tried the 20-mm achromatic lens. - tsai-yi
