Hi, I'm TaeHyun Kim at Seoul Natntional University.

I have assembled 4 DAQ boards and successfully installed the device driver(including the DAQ firmware) onto 3 of them.

Unfortunately, for some reason, one DAQ board fails to install the device driver and the PC doesn't read the device (though it appears as unknown device or WestBridge on device manager screen.)....

I've tried plugging in the DAQ board at another PC but it gave me the same result.

Is there anyone who had the same problem or who can give advice on this matter?

I'd really appreciate your help.

Hi Thkim3,

We have never run into this issue but I will suggest a few things you can try:

  • Since the DAQ PCB is showing up in the Device Manager then we know that the USB connection is likely functioning properly. Does the device show up in the Cypress Control Center?
  • If it does show up in the Cypress Control Center but the firmware fails to install successfully there are 2 likely reasons for this
    • The switches and jumpers on the DAQ PCB are not set correctly
    • The EEPROMS IC is either damaged or placed in backwards.
