connection between CMOS pcb and DAQ pcb
« on: January 03, 2017, 06:48:54 AM »
Hi my name is Hyeonju Lee.
I have two questions.
1. I have a v2.01 DAQ pcbs and is it fine that i connect my CMOS-SMA jack onto J4 of DAQ pcb? What is the meaning of J4 J5 J3?

2. if i have to solder coax cable on the pad, is there any problem to solder inner conductor of coax cable to middle pad of J6? It is hard to solder it on small capacitor(C21)

i have some solder problem and that makes unstable third LED lighting.

Hi Lee,
The DAQ PCB v2.01 connects to the CMOS PCB through the J6 connector on the DAQ PCB. J4, J5, and J3 provide customizable digital input/output channels for synchronizing the Miniscope system with other external systems. You cannot connect the CMOS SMA jack to J4.

Yes you can solder the inner conductor of the coax cable to the middle pad of J6. Make sure there are no shorts between the inner conductor and outer shielding of the coax cable before you power everything up.

Thank you Daniel!

Actually soldering problem was on coax cable soldering part of CMOS pcb.
We just fixed it and my miniscope can work now. But next time, I try to solder on middle pad of J6 as you say. Thankyou!
