Hi,

The minimum order size from Sierra Circuits appears to be 15 or 20x for fabrication and there is a dramatic reduction in cost from 5 to 20 assemblies ($174/piece to $96/piece for the DAQ and $162 to $63/piece for the CMOS sensor). We will not be using 20 boards, so I was wondering if there were any labs who would like to purchase these pieces together? It would definitely save money for everyone. I'm not sure how this would work from a purchase order standpoint but I'm sure we can figure that out.

Let me know,

Jeff

Hi Brendon, perhaps you can put your mail on the list and I will send soon an email to everybody to try to arrange the group ordering (through Sierra as you describe it above).

It is probably best for everybody if the quote/payment splitting is done by Sierra.

OK, thank you. Very much. I'm likely to order myself unless this all comes together very quickly. What about a quote for the LED board? I got this one yesterday, link here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1ek0tm7owtw1zxi/Q608243-1%20Brendon%20LED.pdf?dl=0

I got this quote from PCB-Pool and we already ordered from there. quote

It is more expensive than the one suggested in the wiki, but those guys would take much longer because of the Chinese New Year (production halt).

Hi Guys,

If cost is a concern really look into cheaper fabrication houses for the LED board. Silver Circuits is a great option here and should have a lead time of around 1 week. For ~$250 we had about 100 LED PCBs made. I would also assemble the LED onto the PCB myself since it take about 1 minute and isn't too difficult to do... No reason to pay a company hundreds of dollars for assembly of 1 component.

Hello,

We would like to join a cooperative order. We added Technion lab to the order spreadsheet. Still, it is not clear who is a coordinator and how the payment can be done. Meanwhile, we are trying to reach Justin Blakely.

Thanks Liora
