Hello all,

This is Ho. I have a problem in operating my miniscopes. I like you to address this problem.

There was no problem in installing any driver and DAQ software. Also, once I plug in the USB into my computer, the LED is turned ON immediately. However, the DAQ software cannot “retrieve” images. It only shows a red screen. When I try to connect the "scope camera", the software says "msCam frame retrieve error!" while showing a red background.

In any case, could you give me any advice for troubleshooting? Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Hello Ho, Does the green 'Data Link' LED on the DAQ PCB turn on when everything is powered up?

Hi Daniel, as you pointed out, the green 'Data Link' LED on the DAQ PCB was flickering because of a connection issue between the DAQ PCB and coaxial cable. Thus, I first tried to make sure that every connection is correct (i.e. no electrical short), and finally got three LEDs 'ON'. After resolving this issue, I tried to run the DAQ software, but the software still said "msCAm frame retrieve error!". However, after clicking the 'connect' button multiple times, the connection was established. Thanks for your great advice Daniel.

Hi,

I am having similar issues with the software saying "msCam frame retrieve error". All 3 LEDs on my DAQ are green and there is no flickering. On the software I see a red screen and no matter how many times I click "connect" the red screen remains. Any idea what is going on here? I'd really appreciate any help I can get!
