I received the wire, but couldn't think of a way to reliably strip it, let alone solder it. 42 AWG is tiny. The tool I linked to cannot go smaller, and I don't know of any other hand tools. There are machines that strip to that size, but cursory glance was $5k/machine.
You *may* be able to burn off the insulation with fire. May be able to use a razor, too, but good luck.
And after it is stripped, the heat from soldering will probably damage the insulation, so even after all that, you could short it soldering it on.
I consider myself pretty compliant with these micro electronics, but just don't see the need for this level of headache that has too much chance for failure.
