Title: DAQ PCB layer thickness and Parts
Post by: Xinchi on November 29, 2016, 06:50:19 PM
Hi-

I have a few questions regarding of the DAQ PCB.

1. Seems like layer stack-up calls for 27 mils thickness but the "Miniscope_DAQ_PCB_FAB_INFO" calls for 62 mils board thickness. Does that matter?

2. Also for the 'SWITCH DIP HALF PITCH 4POS 50V' for SW1, SW2, SW3 on file, I checked with DigiKey with the part number (CT2184LPST-ND) , the voltage shows on Digikey is 24V. Can we use that?

Thank you very much!

You can ignore the layer stack-up for the DAQ PCB. The thickness of the board and layer spacing can be whatever you like as long as you maintain the impedance matching of the traces pointed out in the FAB_INFO file.

Yes this is completely fine. There is only 3.3V max going through any of the switches.
